Forsan Al Khor kept their seat between the QNB Stars League, when they defeated Al Markhiya and the second-division runner-up, with two unanswered goals, in the decisive match to determine the participant in the league next season. The original time of the match ended without goals, before Forsan Al-Khor scored the first goal in the first extra half, through Moroccan Ahmed Hammoudan. Then Abdullah Al-Mreissi managed to double the score during the second additional half, preserving the Al-Khor place among the elite clubs, in a match that saw the referee expelling the Al Markhiya player, Claudio Vazkis, with a red card.
